X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer

The last trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past is finally here and it gives us the most in-depth look yet.  It is not as dark as the others but it delivers on action and characters.  Generally I think this movie looks pretty good it is great to see The Sentinels and glimpses at some of the bigger set pieces.  Again, like all the promotion for this movie, Wolverine is the main focus.  Fox are really going to have to start leaning on someone else to hold up this franchise because Hugh Jackman won’t be able to do this forever!

We also get our first good look at Quicksilver. Honestly, I am not all that impressed with the portrayal of this character so far.  Evan Peters wardrobe looks like it was taken from a fancy dress shop.  At the moment it is just not working for me but I will reserve judgement until I see the movie on May 22nd.

Here is the trailer:

As usual let me know what you think of the trailer in the comments!

Godzilla extended trailer

Godzilla promotion is coming think and fast and the latest peek we have at the monster movie is this extended trailer.  The message in this is pretty simply.  Godzilla arrives, destroys everything.  The trailer is pretty good and is a nice combination of some bits we have already seen and a few new bits.  I Found the part with the dog a little tense, it was like Independence Day all over again.  I will have to fight the urge to hysterically scream 'Run, run!' when watching this when it is released in cinemas.

Will you be rushing to see this when it is released in May or giving it a miss? Let me know in the comments.

Movie news: Lucy trailer

Today we got our first glimpse of Lucy, Luc Besson’s latest sci-fi starring Scarlett Johansson.

If I had to think of a super paring Scarlett Johansson and Luc Besson does not immediately spring to mind, but I have to admit the idea of the two working together gets me a little excited.  Luc Besson has moments of brilliance (Leon, The Fifth Element) and moments of…well non brilliance (The Family) but after watching the trailer I am hopeful that this is more of Besson at his best.  Sure, it is high concept and a little hard to believe but when he is on form Besson produces great Sci-fi.  Add in Johansson who is pretty hot property right now and we may have a bit of a gem on our hands.  We will find out in August when Lucy is released in cinemas.

Want to watch or planing to avoid? Let me know in the comments.
